This year's VivaTech was a real highlight for us. The atmosphere, energy, and sheer range of innovations on display made it an event to remember. QATestLab’s team was there to explore emerging technologies, engage with forward-thinking innovators, and collect insights, guiding the next stage of our QA service development. Along the way, we were welcomed by a robot hare, watched mini robots battle (keep reading to discover who won), and even tested an impressive accessibility prototype firsthand.
Event Format
VivaTech's hybrid format combined curated B2B meetings with open networking, hands-on tech zones, and immersive demos. Attracting a record-breaking 180,000 attendees — including 14,000 startups from 171 countries — this event saw over 640,000 business connections, making it Europe's most influential startup and innovation gathering.

From Wow to Whoa: Innovations We'll Remember
The vibes were unmistakably vibrant. Robots greeted visitors, AI-powered gadgets created digital art in real time, and companies unveiled concepts that blurred the line between science fiction and reality. And yes — about that robot fight we mentioned — two mini robots were spotted playing rock-paper-scissors, complete with a playful slap to the loser.
But we weren't joking around, emphasizing impressive innovation. We tried on Meta's AI-powered Ray-Ban glasses. These smart glasses offer hands-free AI capabilities in a consumer-friendly form, stunning for everyday use, assistive applications, and B2B scenarios.
Another standout moment was discovering .lumen, a startup creating assistive smart glasses that replicate the guiding behavior of a dog through spatial awareness and haptic feedback. Designed as a scalable solution for the visually impaired, these glasses gently 'lead the head' using AI and depth sensing, bringing guide-dog-like independence to wearers.
Our team was also impressed by the Ladurée and Sensora collaboration, where visitors sampled macarons while non-invasive EEG sensors analyzed their brain signals related to confidence, pleasure, and taste perception — a playful reminder that even dessert can go high-tech.
Trends, Topics, and Technology
It feels like there should be a joke here, but as always lately, AI dominated at VivaTech 2025. If they had a dress code, it'd probably just say "please wear something AI-powered." From conversational chatbots to predictive engines, nearly every product featured some form of artificial intelligence. And honestly, we're here for it — watching technology evolve this quickly is nothing short of thrilling. We're excited to be part of this momentum by actively integrating AI into our own QA services, testing AI-powered products, and adapting to tomorrow's tech.
Accessibility was another strong theme, with startups introducing assistive technologies for blind and low-vision users, including browser extensions and volunteer-based video call support platforms.
We also saw a clear push toward process automation and smarter hardware solutions designed to streamline workflows and enhance user experience. On the discussion side, the most talked-about topics were responsible AI usage, securing investment for innovation, and strategies for scaling into new markets and industries.
Everyone Talks AI — But What About Testing It?
While AI was undoubtedly at the main stage of VivaTech 2025, quality assurance also found its place in the conversation. The perception of QA varied significantly across companies. Some viewed it as mission-critical, embedding it deeply into their development cycles. However, some continued to rely solely on user feedback — a risky approach that can compromise user experience and brand reputation. It's a short-term fix that often leads to long-term losses — a challenge we're well-equipped to help with.
Several QA services emerged as especially relevant. These included automated regression testing, load testing for high-traffic scenarios, QA for immersive and wearable hardware, and cross-device compatibility testing. As product complexity grows, so does the demand for these specialized services. Accessibility testing was mentioned, though it hasn't yet become a top priority for most teams. A missed opportunity, considering its growing importance in inclusive product development.
At the same time, some industry-wide challenges remain. In fast-moving environments, structured QA processes can be complex to prioritize, and it's not uncommon for testing to fall on developers or project managers by default. Especially in early-stage teams, QA is often revisited only after issues surface. Hardware testing presents its own complexities, requiring specialized expertise that many teams are still developing.
Final Thoughts: What We're Taking Back With Us
AI isn't the future — it's the present. We're already integrating AI into our testing workflows, and VivaTech only reinforced that we're on the right track. On top of that, we're going even deeper into testing AI-driven products. Expect more coming soon.
Wearables, immersive tech, custom hardware — we've seen it all and are ready. Our team is already testing across a wide range of devices, and we're expanding coverage to meet the needs of the next generation of physical-digital experiences.
Supporting in-house teams is our mission, whether that means accelerating delivery, strengthening QA strategy, or stepping in when timelines tighten. And with AI evolving fast, we're more than ready to test what's next — and help build it, too.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone we had the chance to speak with in person. The conversations were insightful, inspiring, and genuinely energizing. Meeting so many brilliant minds across industries was a pleasure, and we're grateful for every exchange.
At QATestLab, our approach has always been about people first — building real connections, solving real problems, and growing together. We'd love to continue the conversation, so be sure to follow us on social mediato stay updated on where we're heading next. See you soon!
