Airborne networking, VIP breaks, the E-commerce Germany Awards, and nocturnal Berlin — our debut back at the E-commerce Berlin Expo since 2019. Beyond invaluable insights and new connections, the event left us inspired, energized, and ready to redefine e-commerce testing for our newly-found industry friends. And some of the best moments? They happened off the main stage.
Let's start with a short preview. What is the E-commerce Berlin Expo? It is a premier yearly (first-time two-day) B2B event scheduled for February 19-20 this year in stunning Berlin. It featured over 250 exhibitors, more than 50 speakers and welcomed around 11,000 participants, offering extensive networking opportunities and insights into the latest e-commerce trends.
As first-time attendees, we were amazed by the dynamic discussions, engaging atmosphere, openness to dialogue, and willingness to assist, even beyond direct responsibilities. Engaging side events offered intriguing prospects, complemented by many captivating topics and speakers. These represent only a portion of our impressions!
Our Delegation
Nazarii Rapatskyi, Growth and Partnership Manager, and Violetta Khlystun, E-commerce Program Manager, represented our team on a European arena.
Nazarii actively sought new networking opportunities, engaging with potential partners and discussing prospects for their projects. His ability to connect with diverse individuals expanded our network and opened new business horizons.
Violetta attended thematic sessions and workshops to explore the latest trends in e-commerce. She gained valuable practical insights that she plans to implement in our projects, enhancing their efficiency and innovation.
First Impressions
While reflecting on the memories, we asked our delegates about their initial feelings, and that's what they said:
"That was absolutely amazing! I've never thought I could experience so many emotions on a business trip. It was an unforgettable ride, from high-energy networking and inspiring speakers to the electric atmosphere of the E-commerce Germany Awards and the vibrancies of Berlin at night. By the way, I've taken a bunch of pictures!
Beyond the business insights, it was all about connections, inspiration, and the excitement of being part of something this dynamic. I'm already looking forward to my next work journey!" – Nazarii smiled.
Violetta answered: "Attending the E-commerce Berlin Expo 2025 was a transformative experience for me as an E-commerce Program Manager since it was my first business trip while presenting QATestLab. The event offered many practical insights, from AI-driven strategies to innovative omnichannel approaches. Engaging with industry leaders gave me actionable advice I am eager to empower within our organization. I'm excited to share new knowledge with my team to enhance our partnerships with e-commerce companies."
At the E-commerce Berlin Expo 2025, our team also enjoyed exclusive branded merchandise from diverse companies and complimentary beers, fostering a relaxed atmosphere. As the saying goes, "Beer is made from hops. Hops are plants. Therefore, beer is a salad."
Sky-High Connections and Lobby Encounters
During our return flight from the E-commerce Berlin Expo, we had the lucky opportunity to sit next to a fellow exhibitor who shared our enthusiasm for e-commerce. Our in-flight conversation about innovative strategies and QA needs transformed a routine journey into a productive networking session.
Similarly, while enjoying an evening coffee in the hotel lobby, we conversed with a group of professionals attending the same expo. This casual interaction led to the foundation for future partnership.
These encounters highlight the importance of remaining open to networking opportunities in everyday settings, which can lead to unexpected and rewarding professional relationships.
Market Trends & Insights
AI and Automation Spot the Light. Discussions highlighted the growing tendency for artificial intelligence and automation in e-commerce, emphasizing their roles in enhancing efficiency and customer engagement.
Transition from Selenium to Playwright. A notable trend is migrating from Selenium to Playwright for test automation towards more robust and scalable tools.
European Accessibility Act 2025. With the EAA set to become law in June, e-commerce businesses focus on ensuring their platforms are accessible to all users, aligning with the new regulations. Our team also had a chance to share our expertise in confirming accessibility.
Innovative Solutions on Display. Beyond AI and automation, discussions revolved around the rapid advancements in multichannel strategies, sustainable retail development, and the future of customer personalization. The event provided deep insights into the latest shop-tech innovations, such as streamlined checkout processes, logistics optimization, and robotics.
Big Players in the Industry. E-commerce giants like AWS, Sage, and Temu were present, making it an excellent opportunity for us to connect and exchange ideas. We were incredibly shocked by Solution25 and its 3D stands – they were like a whole castle! We also had an opportunity to talk to AIsendo.
Testing Services Are in High Demand. Quality assurance remains a top priority for e-commerce platforms, SaaS providers, and logistics companies. Many of the attendees and company representatives were interested in hearing more about our approaches and advice on testing-related issues. The event also highlighted an increasing demand for automated testing and performance optimization.

The E-commerce Germany Awards 2025, held on the evening of February 19th, 2025, was a vibrant celebration of superiority in the e-commerce industry. The event featured outstanding performances and a lively atmosphere, encouraging informal discussions among attendees. The combination of formal award presentations and casual networking opportunities made it a memorable evening.
