Zfone™ is a new secure VoIP phone software product which lets you make encrypted phone calls over the Internet. Its principal designer is Phil Zimmermann, the creator of PGP, the most widely used email encryption software in the world. Zfone uses a new protocol called ZRTP, which has a better architecture than other approaches to secure VoIP.
The main objective of the project was testing of the interface and usability of VoIP securing desktop application with different VoIP clients (X-Lite, EyeBeam, Gizmo, Internet Explorer and Firefox) under different operating systems (Windows, Linux and MacOS) and the support of existing system with use-cases and documentation. The project methodology was RUP. Different testing types and techniques were used.
The system was completely evaluated in scope of usability and was documented for end-user. All test-cases were based on use-cases and then transformed into user documentation. All project documents and reports were sent to customer according to the procedure of process management.
