On November 13-16, our team attended Web Summit 2023 in Lisbon, which was a whirlwind of emotions, insights, and exciting networking. Today, we invite you to join us in reliving the highlights of this spectacular event!
This year’s Web Summit brought together more than 70,000 attendees from over 160 countries to discuss the latest trends in technology and business. From the moment our team members stepped into the Altice Arena, the epicenter of the summit, they were struck by the unbelievable crowd gathered there. “The air was thick with ideas and anticipation, and the infectious enthusiasm of the attendees was truly inspiring”, says Anastasiya, our Web Program Director.
The discussions held during the event were lively and engaging, covering a wide range of topics — from artificial intelligence and blockchain to climate change, healthcare, equality issues, and education. With keynote speakers such as Meredith Whittaker (the President of Signal), Jimmy Wales (the founder of Wikipedia), Melanie Nakagawa (the Chief Sustainability Officer of Hewlett-Packard), Wladimir Klitschko (the ambassador and founder of Kyiv Digital), and many others, our colleagues were left with a boost of renewed appreciation for the power of technology to address global challenges.
The breakthroughs in AI were certainly in the limelight during the event. According to our Head of Sales, “the speakers focused on different applications of this technology, starting from making healthcare smarter, disrupting finance, utilizing AI to reshape the future of transportation and logistics, and ending with intriguing developments in areas like generative AI in SaaS.”
One of the highlights of the summit was the opportunity to connect with tech specialists from diverse fields. The networking sessions were a bustling array of introductions and exchanges of ideas, opening doors to potential collaborations and partnerships. The sheer diversity of talent and expertise present at the event was truly remarkable.
