Localization Testing

QATestLab performs localization testing to verify that the solution content and user interface meet the user language and location. We evaluate products from both a linguistic and a cultural perspective to make sure that they are suitable for the target region or country.

By carrying out localization testing, our customers ensure international visibility of their solution and are able to provide users from all over the world with a high-quality product. Localization testing reduces the cost of a global release.

What We Do

To enter new markets with high-quality products without any issues causing a negative user experience, we evaluate the quality of localized products using several methods:
  • Internationalization readiness testing - to make sure that localized product interacts correctly with third-party software and native language OSs and platforms and supports multilingual UI
  • Localization testing - to detect issues related to content translation and how it is rendered on the interface
  • In-context review - reviewing the product in context and ensuring that it follows all the language standards and rules of the target market

Localization testing 

Localization testing is not only verifying the translation of all the text elements of a software product. Readiness for the global market requires testing of product layout, formatting, hyperlinks, image quality, basic functionality, keeping cultural and regional specifics of the target market, etc. Moreover, localization testing of mobile solutions includes checking input methods, e.g., keyboards, gestures, and touches, verification of UI in different screen sizes and resolutions that vary from one location to another.
