Mac family OS is a family of operating systems with graphical user interface designed specifically for computers Apple Macintosh.

Mac OS was released in 1984 with the first Macintosh personal computer.

System Mac OS was based on a prototype graphical user interface, which was borrowed in the company Xerox.

Macintosh developers have used some of the ideas of the prototype Xerox, extending them by adding own features.
